The only reason i wouldnt rate this book a 5 is because some of the strategies discussed are already readily availible on the internet. other than that good back with a good section on money management. — very good forex learning book to add to my collection
This book is very much to the point and written in human readable way, not delving into abscure mathamatics and graphs. — Direct and to the point
The book is intended for beginner traders or traders who are struggling with their strategies.
I cannot say if the concrete strategies are actually profitable or not, however the author has very good insight on the nature of some indicators and price action, and this information can be accommodated to whatever plans or strategies you have.
The information on account management and growth is great. His ideas on why trading from a larger scale and why this is the best way to go are the strongest I have read so far. Also, he does great at teaching the management of trades, SL and TP.
Finally, he is very funny and the best writer on Forex out of the books that I have read, which, by the way, is very rare. Forex writers tend to be unskilled.
Please do not expect to get rich out of reading this book. If that is your expectation, I recommend you buy a lottery ticket instead. — It is what a good book should be
Have read several books on Forex, but by far, I find this book by Ed Ponsi to be most beneficial to me. The easy to follow guide and examples are simply great. A great book. — Forex guide for both new and experienced traders
The information in Ed’s book is actually fairly good. However, I learned most of it – often in better detail and made clearer – on freely available websites. I did pick up a few additional ideas, which is always beneficial. If he had charged $30 for this book, it still would have been overpriced, but at least reasonable. But, at $50+ you are NOT getting what you pay for. For the price, you should be getting a lot of new information in ways you never considered. This is just a series of low-level discussions with a lot of graphs. He also sells videos for $300 (which I’ve not seen), but I bet they aren’t anything better than you get for free elsewhere.
Conclusion: Save your cash for your trading and do a quick Google search on forex and take advantage of all the free information. — Way overpriced for what you get
